It's a Homemade Christmas part 2!

So the latest undertaking for Christmas was to put together some small gifts for our neighbors.  I really wanted to make some root beer fudge, but I couldn't find all of the ingredients.  I decided to make my dad's famous fudge...which also happens to be wicked easy.  So I asked my dad to email over his fudge recipe.  What you should know about my dad is that he tries to be funny pretty much all the time unless he is conducting a funeral, sometimes he succeeds and sometimes he fails.  I'll let you be the judge of this one.
"Put 1 2/3 cup sugar into a large sauce pan. Add 2/3 cup evaporated milk and 1/2 tsp vanilla. Stir constantly on high heat (make sure spoon is touching bottom of pan so it doesn't stick or scorch) until it comes to a boil. Stir an additional 1 1/2 minutes. removed from heat and immediately stir in 1 1/2 cups marshmallows and 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips. (Measure them out ahead of time) Stir until chips and marshmallows are dissolved and pour onto a lightly greased dinner plate. Cool to room temperature before cutting. If it doesn't cut good put it in the fridge for 5 minutes, but if it gets too cold it breaks when you try to cut it. 
Add walnuts at same time as chips and marshmallows if allowed by spouse. Don't splash the mixture on your hand while you are stirring or you will exclaim: "Oh Sh*%!" While God is certainly willing to forgive you for yelling "Oh Sh*%" your unsaved neighbors will undoubtedly hear you yell "Oh Sh*%" because the hot melted sugar has fused to your hand...and they will never come to know Jesus because of your profanity brought about by sloppy stirring!

So I got busy making fudge chocolate and white chocolate/peppermint fudge.

Then I dipped some rod pretzels in white almond bark.

Wrapped everything up and put them in some cute Christmas mugs, and crossed one more thing off my list!
